I looked up to Denise.I remember the early days at the Attic.I really enjoyed our scene together that you directed.
Do you remember that? I irritated the HELL out of her by my trying to direct HER....ME trying to direct HER!! (That was my control issues rearing their nasty head.) She put me right in MY place....YES SIR !! I do remember her strong spirit.
I will never forget that scene she and K.C. Marelich did where Denise was the patient and K.C. was the psychiatrist.
I was in awe...Denise made me cry every time I saw it.And when she did Shakespeare, she made it look efortless.
I also got to know Denise on a personal level a little.I would see her at Fellini's and we would talk and talk about life and we would
laugh at girl stuff.
I thought she was beautiful.

For all those years you were the hardest working person in show business; forget James Brown. I'll remember you, my friend, as the person you could always count on to make sure the production happened no matter how much extra effort you had to make. You're in my heart always, Denise. This Bud's for YOU!!

James,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Denise's passing. I will always remember her as being upbeat and ready to help.

I became a part of the Attic Theatre in their first year. What an exciting time!!I met Denise and quickly found myself in awe of her.She was so beautiful and funny and talented.
I was so honored when she asked me to be her scene partner in a showcase.James, you directed us,remember?
I did however irritate the HELL out of her,ME trying to direct HER!!She put me in MY place right quick! yes sir!
I'll never forget the scene she did with KC Marelich, she was the patient and KC was the psychiatrist.I was in awe...what a powerful and moving performance.I was reduced to tears each time I watched.
When she did Shakespeare, she made it look effortless.
I cannot believe you have that picture of Denise and me and the others as the dancers from "In The Boom-Boom Room"
We had fun on that one!! Denise was a wonderful dancer.I think that was her real spirit.
Denise and I got to know each other personally a little. We would meet at Fellini's and talk and talk and laugh about girl stuff. What a great laugh she had.
My heart goes out to you James,my old friend.I miss you.
I will always remember Denise as someone who was a true inspiration in my life.
Love,Michele

I just saw UG and it was awesome! Great job everyone. This website is pretty cool too. I really dig all the images of your various productions. And the sound clips for UG is a great idea!
